Details:
Park at the Chequers Inn car park on Ferry Road (be aware Ferry Road can be narrow and is one-lane most of the way, so drive safely!). Along the car park is a dock for canal boats, and here is your launch point. From here you can paddle up (south) the river towards Keynsham, or down (north) the river towards Bristol. Be aware if you choose to head towards Bristol there are two channels, one with a weir (this is the one right next to the pub), and a flat one on the other side where the canal continues - use this one. Waterways licenses are needed to paddle this part of the Avon.
